This Former Manchester United Star expecting baby Number One

Former German international Manchester United player Bastian Schweinsteiger and his wife, former tennis star number one, Anna Ivanovic, are expecting their first baby.

They both broke the news on their official Twitter accounts

They currently live in the US, where Schweinsteiger, 33, plays for Chicago Fire in the MLS.

Ivanovic, a former world no. 1, retired last December after a string of injuries.

Maasai's, The Children of A Lesser God?

 

In the past one month or so, the maa nation has been grieving. These are a people whose livelihood solely depends on livestock.

     Tanzania - Maasai feud
Tanzanian government auctioned all the livestock belonging to maasai herders found to have "illegally" entered the country. 
 The country's president, JP Magufuli went ahead to  stress that he won't be stopping do to it again if they trespass into his territory. Kenya's government did little to help the herders who were used to making those endless trips across the border whenever drought came calling.
         Laikipia
Secondly, police officers aboard Armoured Personnel Carriers fell down more than 300 cattle in Laikipia North constituency. The police did not refute the accusation, however, claimed the numbers had been inflated. They asserted that the deaths arose as a result of exchange of fire between police officers and bandits who were terrorising the area residents. The bandits had used the animals as shields prompting the police to fell the cattle.

Area leaders, despite calling for speedy investigation and compensation of the herders, it seems nothing will be done.
  This came just 6 months after another more than 500 cattle we're fell by security officers inside the Laikipia Nature Conservancy. The herders were accused of invading private ranches. The security officers are accused of having used explosives on the animals. Standard Media journalist who went to cover the incident were arrested by the security officers and their equipment confiscated. They were later forced to delete the images and videos they had captured.
       Botched Demonstrations
  Today, 22nd November, a group of people les by Narok senator, Ledama Ole Kina dressed in maasai shukas were demonstrating the killing of their cattle. Police officers launched tear gas canisters and dispersed them despite him having notified the police of their planned demonstration.
         Tana River Camel shooting
                       
On 27th May, 2017, in Bura, Tana River County, 126 camels were killed by security officers patrolling the disputed border area between Kitui and Tana River counties.

Security officers who had been deployed to patrol the disputed border shot and killed the camels.

Ali Wario, M.P for Bura, condemned the incident and called for the resignation of Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and the then C.S Interior Joseph Nkaisserry.
      Government Response
However what's appalling is how the government has responded to that shooting incident in Tana River.
   On 18th November, 2017,
The government through the Ministry of Agriculture, has issued cheques worth Sh8.82million for compensation to herders whose 126 camels were killed by security officers.
Each of the 126 camels killed was compensated at Sh70,000, translating to Sh8.82 million

   Is the government pushing the message that maasai's are not Kenyans enough? Or are somali camels more equal to maasai cattle?

All in the Name of Masturbation - A Chinese man gets padlock stuck in his bladder

 A Chinese man got a padlock stuck in his bladder after pushing it up his penis, The Mirror has reported. The 31-year-old, who hasn’t been named, inserted the small lock into his urethra and pushed it further down his penis for sexual pleasure. But the padlock travelled into his bladder and it became stuck there. He was taken to hospital in Fuzhou city in east China and shocking X-rays showed the padlock jammed into his organ.

Doctors had to perform various tests to decide whether it was safe to operate on the patient. When they did, they reportedly had to cut a hole into the man’s bladder to release the lock. The patient remains in hospital and may suffer lasting damage.

Flying squad trails NRM general at night on Mombasa Road

The flying squad, on Saturday, 18th November, trailed former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale and tried to kidnap him.
                    
 This is according to self proclaimed NRM general Miguna Miguna. Posting on his Twitter account, Miguna claimed that Khalwale was trailed for several hours at night from Panari hotel.

See How Museveni has forced Besigye Pimp his Land Cruiser(Photos)

Dr. Kizza Besigye, having been found numerous times on the wrong side of the law with Museveni, has decided to add an extra layer of wire mesh to steel his car, the famous Land Cruiser V8 Reg No  UAN 661V.

Besigye, to counter this, has decided to add a wire mesh. The mesh covers the windscreen, the hind screen and the front and hind windows of the car.

The car, bought shortly before the 2011 elections, has served Besigye well in many of his battles. It has also shared some of the brutality directed at Besigye. Its windscreen has been shattered several times, its bumper has  fallen off several times.

Yet Besigye continues to prefer it over his other vehicles.

Zimbabwe Effect: Museveni makes changes to the Army Leadership

Uganda's president, Yoweri Museveni has made a number of changes in the army leadership, Jamii News has learnt

According to the new reshuffle announced on Wednesday evening, Brig.Stephen Kashure who was the Director in charge of Operations at Operation Wealth Creation has now been appointed as the Deputy Commandant at the Senior Command and Staff College, Kimaka in Jinja district.

        Kashure once served as the commandant of Peace Support Operations Training Centre,in Ssingo while at the rank of Colonel and in May he was promoted to the rank of Brigadier.

The new changes within the army have also seen Brig.Chris Bossa who was the commandant for the Senior Command and Staff college in Kimaka appointed as the commandant for the college of Logistics and Engineering whereas Colonel Bob appointed Directing Staff Coordinator at Kimaka. Col. Charles Byaruhanga from Somalia(AMISOM) has been appointed commandant Kaweweeta recruit training school.

Col.Kefa Nangeso has been appointed Director for personnel, whereas Col.Hubert Mbonye from Somalia (AMISOM)has been sent to Nigeria as defence advisor.

The new changes have also seen Col.Paul Eswapu appointed chief of staff rapid deployment capability centre whereas Col. Ceazar Bahwezi from Kimaka has been appointed the Director Records.

The army spokesperson Brig.Richard Karemire confirmed the new changes adding that they take immediate effect.

“It is not something new. It is not the first and last time we have such changes in the army. It is normal after officers successfully completed their tour of duty in the various positions,” Brig.Karemire said.

“As we continue professionalizing the army, we always deploy our officers in different positions to take charge of different missions.
However the question we ask, could this be a reflex response to happenings in Zimbabwe?
