Major changes made touch on both the cabinet and foreign affairs ministry.
Changes seen as rewards to political loyalists
PRESIDENT KENYATTA has made major
reshuffles in both his executive and ambassadorial team. Among the changes are 1. Nomination
of former statehouse spokesperson, Manoah Esipisu and former Salaries and
Remuneration Commission chair, Sarah Serem among others to the ambassadorial
positions. Others nominated to these docket are a) Hon. Benjamin Langat b) Lt. Gen Samuel Thuita c) Francis Muhoro d) Chris
Karumba Mburu e) Hon. George Ochillo Ayacko f) Amb.
Peter Nicholas Oginga Ogego 7. Johnson Mogo Ondieki The above nominees
are to be vetted by Parliament. 2.CS Peter Munya has been moved
to Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives 3.CS Adan Mohamed moves to
East African Community & Regional Development 4.Prof. Collette A Suda moves to Ministry of
Education as Chief Administrative Secretary & Principal Secretary in charge
of The State Department for University Education . 5.Hon Simon Kachapin moves to
Ministry of Energy as Chief Administrative Secretary. Uhuru Kenyatta has reappointed the
following Prinicpal Secretaries :- 1. Joe Okudo, PS
Tourism; 2. Dr. Margaret
W Mwakima, PS Wildlife ; 3. Dr. Ibrahim
M Mohammed,PS Labour; 4. Mrs Fatma
Hirsi, PS. Broadcasting & Telecommunications; 5. Prof.
Micheni Ntiba, PS Fisheries & Blue Economy. Uhuru has also nominated
the following persons as to the position Principal Secretary, subject to
Parliamentary approval:- 1. Mr. Francis
Otieno Owino, PS State Department for Youth; 2. Mrs Esther
Koimett , PS Transport .
